The Psi-language connection: A postmodern parapsychological paradigm

Abstract: In contradistinction to the mainstream scientific paradigm, a new paradigm is offered which places psi at the center of the human experience. It consists of a small number of radical hypotheses regarding psi-in the form of telepathy-and language. The keystone to the new paradigm is the notion that all infants are innately telepathic and paranormally absorb the language (or languages) understood by the adults around them. Furthermore, because using language interferes with telepathic receptivity (another of the radical hypotheses), as thr children begin to access and operate upon the telepathically downloaded grammar. They begin to lose their psychic abilities. By the time they have passed through puberty, they have, in essence, become telepathically inert. The telepathic hypothesis is applied also to the problems of second-language acquisition and the multiplicity of languages. One of the conclusions reached is that without psi, language would probably not exist, whereas with language, psi almost doesn't exist.
