Multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders

Abstract: Recent research has attempted to elucidate the nature of psychiatric and cognitive symptoms and their underlying pathophysiological mechanisms in neurological disorders. Greater insight into these mechanisms has been provided by the neuropsychological studies in multiple sclerosis, neurofibromatosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Studies examining the psychiatric and cognitive sequelae of stroke are also discussed.
