Abstract: Inflammatory processes are based on a very complex network of feedback mechanisms. Carriers of these mechanisms are seen in high and lowmolecular messenger molecules, active regulatory cells of the immune system, as well as other tissues. The knowledge of the general perspective is still reiatively incomplete despite a lot of weil-known facts.The results presented in this paper show that low doses of complex mixtures seem to be able to adjust to some degree the regulatory processes of inflammation that are thrown out of balance. The application of wellknown illness-triggering substances (nosodes) in low concentrations seems to induce feed-back mechanisms that can be assessed as antiinflammatory. The presumption that, as a result, the production of cytokines is influenced can be veriried by the IL-6 levels in the serum of laboratory animals.
