Ayurvedische Ölbehandlung und Schadstoffausleitung

Abstract: In Ayurvedic Medecine oily massage of the body is known for its harmonising effect on the body energies (Doshas). Daily massage gives good complexion of the skin and physical and mental strength. Sesame oil is basically used due to its fine subtle and warming qualities which may purify and nourish the body tissues. Blockages effected by toxins (Ama) in the body channel system (Srotas) - which partly differ from in western medicine defined anatomical structures- can be solved. Sesame oil is a medium for assimilation processes but also for detoxification. External use of heating procedures may accelerate metabolism. Therefore sweating therapy (Svedana) is additionally combined with oil massage (Snehana).Pizichil-the so called “royal oil bath" - is such treatment which combines both: elimination of water soluble and fat soluble substances. The idea was now to examine Pizichil oil before and after massage to find out whether there was any elimination of toxins such as PCB, HCH, DDT or heavy metals.Oil analysis were done in patients with chronical unspecific symptoms (lack of concentration, tiredness, loss of strength, loss of hair, mild nervous disorders etc.) due to high concentration of toxic substances found in blood analysis. A few cases showed positve response: partly PCB, copper and lead could be found in risen concentration of the post-massage oil. One patient showed also significant improvement of clinical symptoms. lt is important to mention that the Pizichil treatment was part of a whole traditional ayurvedic therapy called Panchakarma. In Panchakarma therapy detoxification of the tissue is systemically stimulated by various Snehana and Svedana procedures. This may just present first observations which invite for further and closer look.
