Aufklärungspflicht Fach- und Gebrauchsinformationen aus der Sicht der pharmazeutischen Industrie

Aspects of the pharmaceutic companies concerning the duty to inform both the patient and the physician Zusammenfassung Patientenaufklärung ist ein komplexer arbeitsteiliger Prozeß bei dem der pharmazeutischen Industrie neben den Ärzten und gegebenenfalls den Apothekern nur eine Teilfunktion zukommt. Mit der Patientenaufklärung sollen 3 Dinge erreicht werden: ?Vom Bild des mündigen eigenverantwortlichen Patienten ausgehend soll der Patient in die Lage versetzt werden in Angelegenheiten die seine Gesundheit betreffen (mit)zu entscheiden (Patientenautonomie). ?Das Arzneimittel soll von Patienten so angewendet werden daß seine nützlichen Eigenschaften bestmöglich zur Wirkung gelangen und seine Risiken so gering wie möglich gehalten werden (Compliance). Durch Arztinformation aber besonders durch die Gebrauchsinformation soll die Sicherheit der Anwendung gesteigert werden. D. h. sowohl die Risiken eines Arzneimittels sollen so klein wie möglich gehalten werden aber auch dem Risiko der Nichtanwendung oder der im Hinblick auf den Wirkungseintritt unzulänglichen Anwendung soll vorgebeugt werden. ?Treten bei Fehlanwendung oder auch richtiger Anwendung gleichwohl Risiken oder Schäden auf so sollen diese so klein wie möglich gehalten werden (Schadensminimierung). Abstract The provision of detailed information to patients is a complex and multifarious process in which the pharmaceutical industry is only partially involved alongside the physicians and where appropriate the pharmacists. The provision of information to patients has three goals: Â• Assuming the patient to be a mature responsible being the objective is to create circumstances in which he/she is capable of taking and or participating in decisions concerning his/her health (patient autonomy). Â• The patient should employ medicinal products such that their beneficial characteristics achieve the greatest possible effects and their risks are confined to a minimum (compliance). The physician's data sheet and in particular the patient leaflet are intended to promote the safety of use. This means that not only should the drug risks be kept to a minimum but also the risk of non-use or of inadequate administration should be anticipated. Â• Should risks or damage occur due to incorrect use or even correct use they must be restricted to the minimum possible (minimization of damage).
