Using critical incidents to model effective evaluation practice in the teaching of evaluation

Abstract: This section is intended to provide a forum where teachers of evaluation can exchange ideas and insights about how to improve their instruction in evaluation, whether that occurs in a university course, a corporate training program, a professional association workshop, or even one-on-one mentoring of evaluation interns, assistants, or stakeholders. While the major focus of this section is on effective methods and techniques for teaching evaluation topics, nor on the content to be taught, brief instructional modules (containing both content and presentation methods) are welcome here. This section is not a publication outlet for evaluation course syllabi, bibliographies, or ''laundry lists'' of things worth mentioning to students; contributor's should prepare papers that articulate the rationale for their suggestions and share evidence that the proposed teaching approach is effective.
