Abstract: In healthy people, coronary perfusion is no limiting factor for the maximum cardiac work, but in the case of coronary insufficiency, the myocardium is supplied with less oxygen, than it needs to fully meet its demand.All therapeutical measures intend to eliminate the discrepancy between the supply and the demand of 02, either via an increase of the supply or/and a reduction of the demand. The therapeutical spectrum consists of general measures, including the oxygen inhalation as a trial, the medicamenteous therapy and the invasive procedures.
