Abstract: Chronologically in this article the development and world-wide spreading of homoeopathy withinh the last 200 years is protrayed. In the first part development during the lifetime of Hahnemann and the achievements and works of some of his disciples are described, whereas the seconde part deals with the further spreading and development after Hahnemanns death. Some well known homoeopaths and their realtionships toe ach other are described. Beginning with C. Hering the further development in the US will be shown. Finally the way of classical homoeopathy via P. Schmidt back to Europe will be explained and by basic thoughts of some homoeopaths the current trends will be shown up.
