Abstract: The study presents the subjektive road to discovery taken by a music therapist in order to reach her current position within psychiatry. The question and findings of systemic supervision provide insights into structural and content-related requirements within the institution of psychiatry and the music therapy conducted in this context. Suggestions are made for making full use of given space and opportunities for exercising influence.
