Abstract: In 1993, Grampian Health Board identified complementary therapies as an area for Potential investment and decided to use a consensus development conference to inform their decision-making. Following the conference and consultation, Grampian Health Board agreed a number of policy actions to encourage the local development of complementary therapies within the National Health Service. This paper describes the rationale for and conduct of the consensus conference and subsequent policy processes.Part 1.- Is there a real demand? was published in Vol 4, number 1.
