Swedenborg und Kent (Über den Einfluß von Emanuel Swedenborg auf die homöopathische Philosophie des James Tyler Kent)

Abstract: Several American homoeopaths, among them C. Hering and J.T. Kent, were members of the "New Church", which is based on the theories of the Swedish scholar and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772). Amazingly, it is known very little about the influence, which the body of thought of Swedenborg had on the development of practice and theories of homoeopathy at that time and, as a result, on important areas of today´s classic homoeopathy. There are definite indications however, that there has been a considerable influence, especially in the case of Kent.
