Abstract: Physicians in the field of naturopathic medicine require an excellent knowledge of foods if their prescription aim at wholesome nutrition and a wholefood basic diet. Qualified nutritional instructions for sufficient food quality are only possible on this basis. A knowledge of foodstuff additives, reidues and impurities is just as important. In the above field, medical students are often left with considerable gaps in ther knowledge that have to be filled in subsequently.
