Mykosetherapie durch Autovakzinebehandlung

Abstract: The author has had the opportunity to work in the field of bacteriotherapy in Germany and foreign laboraties and has continued this work in his own institute for the past 20 years. In the specimens received for microbiological diagnosis, an increasing occurence of fungi amidst growth of pathogenic bacteria as well as purely fungal growth has been observed, usually without clinical suspicion of mycosis, but sometimes in connection with a suspected mycosis as well. Fungi imperfecti (Candida) have been most frequently isolated. By means of thermal or iodine inactivation, both injection and oral vaccines were produced from pure cultures and returned to the senders with either precise instructions for intracutaneous or subcutaneous injection or oral intake (e.g. in intestinal mycoses). Main indication for autovaccine therapy are cronic mycoses and cases of antimycotica inolerance. The limitations to this therapy are set by antibody deficiency (immunoglobulin deficiencies) and absolute local incompatibility.
