Moderne Pilzdiagnostik als Parameter ganzheitlicher Therapie

Abstract: Disorders of the good health due to intestinal yeast colonies (mostly Candida albicans) pay an increasing role in the medical practice. How reliable are the diagnostic methods? Which Candida couts are to be graded as being unphysiological, when does the presence of Candida albicans in the intestine require treatment? How are the usual schemes of a treatment with Nystatin to be estimated, which problems may be connected therewith? In order to answer these questions the diagnostic methods and the possibilities they offer are specified and the field in which they are applied is explained. Furthermore, the biological fundamentals of symbiosis are important in order to understand the development of a commensal organism into a parasite. Impressive abilities of the fungi as molecular mimicry, phenotypical switching, dimorphic forms as the mechanisms of the fungi that serve to evade the human immune system are presented.
