Zur Osteoporose - Grundlagen eines neuen Konzeptes zur Pathologie und Therapie

Abstract: Due to the longer expectation of life, diseases of old age such as osteoporosis increase. The therapy tries to stop the osteolysis. The intention is to determine it by theÂ” density". The therapy aims at making the bones more solid by calcium, vitamin D and flour. In principle it is a calcific deposit, which is interpreted wrongly as a formation of bones.In contradiction to this concept is, that an increased mineral content increases the fragility, which is the main problem of osteoporosis. This is the reason for the contradictory therapeutical reports. The breaking strength of the bone is based on the content of organic substances, which is hardly taken into consideration during the examinations. This is in connection with silicon, i. e. silicic acid. By stimulating the silicic acid, the bones can be kept elastical. This can be achieved by substitution, e.g. Sklerosol® or by a stimulation with Equisetum, Silicea cultum (Weleda). The bone" of the cartilaginous fish (shark) is very important in this context. lt is intended, to achieve the rejuvenating effect of the hormones by estrogen. However, an explicit examination can show, that rather the progestogens are indicated. From this concept, an extended therapy can be developed.
