Abstract: Discusses theoretic assumptions, treatment aims, and experiences connected with 8-9 wk inpatient group psychotherapy sessions of regular soldiers suffering from neuroses and personality disorders over a 13-yr period. The following methods were used with groups of 8-13 inpatients: debating psychotherapy, interactive communication, psychodrama, behavior therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, and relaxation techniques.
