Erfahrungen mit der Messung von Holzschutzmitteln und anderen chlor-organischen Schadstoffen im Blut

Abstract: Using data on several thousand analyses of lindane, PCP, PCBs, HCB, DDT and its metabolites in blood the importance of substances of ecological concern is shortly discussed. Our methodological approach is shortly described. lt is based on the analysis of whole blood rather than serum in order to include the wall lipids of blood cells in the measurement.The clinical syndromes observed most often are shortly described as is the clinical meaning of concentrations higher than the upper reference values.Finally, the first results of RAST tests determining the allergological reactions after intake of substances of ecological concern are communicated including lindane, PCP, formaldehyde and pyrethroides.
