Rajan Sankaran und die Situational Materia Medica

Abstract: In the following series of articles I will try to provide some insights into the Situational Materia Medica (SMM), a theoretical-philosophical concept of understanding disease and remedies, as was developed recently by Rajan Sankaran. The basis of the SMM is examined for consistency to Hahnemanns findings as well as factual medical knowledge (Part 1 and 2). Then theoretical and practical method to approach the primarily "unmeurable" state of disposition is presented as well as a method to deduce from the hard facts of a remedy - the rubrics - its underlying state of disposition (Part 3). Finally the core of the SMM, disease as an altered state of perception (delution), is presented (Part 4). In the last part a comprehension will review the entire concept as well as point to some open questions.
