World Chiropractic Congress 1993Occupational low back pain27-29 May, 1993

Abstract: The World Chiropractic Congress took place at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Conference Centre, Westminster, London, 27-29 May, 1993. This was a World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) Congress, co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) in association with the European Chiropractors' Union (ECU) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). The Congress was attended by over 500 chiropractic, medical and related practitioners. The main theme of the programme was occupational low back pain. There was also a substantial general programme of research papers (30) and poster presentations (28) selected from over 120 research submissions. The Congress incorporated a specialist chiropractic sports symposium A parallel WFC Assembly addressed a number of global developments with relevance to the rapidly expanding profession of chiropractic - Legislation and recognition, manpower resources, inter-professional relationships, education and training. A report on the WFC perspective on the congress has been published.
