Hypothesen und Indizien für die Wirkungsweise intravenöser Sauerstoffinfusionen

Abstract: Daily intravenous infusion of pure oxygen during several weeks leads to a significant increase of eosinophile granulocytes in peripher blood as well as to an activation of the metabolism of arachidonic acid. lt is considered as probable, that the derivatives of cyclogenase metabolism (especially Prostacyclin) as well as the lipoxygenase metabolism (f. i. 12-HETE, 5-HETE and 15-HETE) play an important role in the biological and biochemical effects of intravenous oxygen therapy.
