Trinkkur mit einem sulfathaltigen Heilwasser zeigt lipidsenkende Wirkung - Studie bestätigt erneut günstige Einflußnahme bei Hypercholesterinämie

Abstract: Results published recently by our house included clear indications of a cholesterol-reducing effect of cures with mineral and medicinal waters containing sulphate. A heretofore unpublished pilot study preceded these investigations. The results of said pilot study are presented in the present contribution. Initial indications of a cholesterol-reducing effect of cures with a medicinal water containing sulphate were seen with a relatively small number of volunteers (n=30). This was, however, not statistically confirmable due to the small munber of cases under study. In spite of this aspect, this study can also be considered confirmation of an effect in the direction of a reduction of the concentration of erum atherogenic cholesterol by virtue of a cure with a medicinal water containing sulphate.
