The Creative Process is Universal

Abstract: Musician therapists practicing Creative Music Therapy use musical improvisation in such as way that their work is simultaneously responsively creative and clinically methodical. Hence of modus operandi of the creative music therapist combines original spontaneity with procedural direction. Inevitably, in furthering clinical interactivity, this 'procedural direction' involves musical searching, exploration and realisation in creative processes that intimately parallel the processes through which all music is, or has been, composed, improvised or evolved.
