Music with Therpeutic Ideas for Pre-school and Early Intervention

Abstract: This paper is a demonstration of a music lesson for pre-school children combining traditional teaching methods with ideas of preventative music therapy. The incorporated ideas are based on an assumption that cognitive development should be well balanced with emotional and social development with a particular emphasis on healthy self-esteem and trusting others. The presentation may be a valuable source of information for music educators and for those who work in the area of early childhood. This paper will be published by the BSMT late in l992, price on application.
