Comment devient-on interprete? (How does one become an interpreter?)

Abstract: Discusses the psychoanalyst's function as interpreter of the analysand's material, comparing it to a musician's work, whether as instrumentalist or composer. The analyst's work is also simultaneously that of a creator and a spectator. A psychoanalyst's predisposition to sublimation is also akin to artistic creation, which is first transformed into "psychoanalyzing neurosis," then into psychoanalytic expertise and knowledge.
