Dose parameters of topical cold-air application

Abstract: The intensity of a cold-air dose is mainly determined by the volume current (1/min). Adequate power stages of the devices are indispensable for the arrangement of a dosed therapeutical series.The nozzle-to-skin distance (useful 15 cm) must be consequently observed. As a rule, dynamic application (movable cold-air hose) is done in a given area to be treated (about 50 cm2).Area to be treated, clinical procedures, nozzle shape and cross section as well as nozzle-to-skin distance should be assumed as defined data. Volume current and duration of therapy should be graded in accordance with the therapeutic aim to a series (low, medium and high dosage stages).
