Subcutaneous C02-gas insufflation in patients with occlusive arterial disease

Abstract: In ten patients in stage II according to Fontaine of occlusive arterial disease in the lower extremities, procedures of physio- and balneotherapy were applied over three weeks with or without simultaneous subcutaneous CO2-gas insufflation. The therapeutical success of both methods was objectified by means of the oscillometer index and the painless walking range. A better effect was observed after completing health resort therapy by subcutaneous C02-gas insuftlations.
