Die Ultraviolettbestrahlung des Blutes - eine Behandlungsmethode im Zwielicht zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis

Abstract: Based on a literature review as well as own experiences of many years a critical resume is drawn on the present scientific knowledge of the ultra-violet irradiation of the blood (haematogenous oxidation therapy (HOT)/ultra-violet irradiation of the blood (UVB).Finally, the author comes to the conclusion that at present, besides opinions of renowned scientists, there is no exact scientific article which demonstrates any on principle non-efficacy of the abovementioned method in the therapy of patients with diseases of peripheral arterial occlusion, but in contrast thereto there exist a number of scientific papers which evidence the efficacy of the ultra-violet irradiation of the blood resp. make such efficacy very likely.
