Krankenhaus München-Bogenhausen Zusammenfassung Die BCG-Immuntherapie des oberflächlichen Blasenkarzinoms ist mit Remissionsraten zwischen 42% und 100% sehr wirksam und somit mindestens ebenso effektiv wie die topische Chemotherapie. Mit zum Teil ernsten Nebenwirkungen muß allerdings gerechnet werden. Der verwendete BCG-Stamm und die applizierte Keimmenge aber auch der Anwendungsmodus haben einen Einfluß auf den Therapieerfolg. Der Einsatz dieses Therapieprinzips bei anderen Neoplasien hat möglicherweise dann Erfolg wenn folgende Bedingungen erfüllt sind: chirurgisch gegen Null reduzierbare Tumormasse direkter Kontakt zwischen BCG und tumortragender Oberfläche. The BCG immune therapy of the superficial bladder cancer with a remission rate of between 42% and 100% is at least as effective as the topic chemotherapy. One has to consider however the partly serious complications. The success of this therapy is influenced by the used BCG strain the applied amount of bacteria and the kind of application. The use of this principle of therapy in other tumours is possibly successful under the following conditions: the tumour mass is surgically nearly completely reducible and direct contact of BCG and tumour-carrying surface is possible. ab
