Abstract: The largest enterprise of scientific research into homoeopathy by German Reichsgesundheitsamt 1936-1939 is being discussed in its historical dimensions and results, which were negative, according to an unpublished manuscript by one of the study´s directors, Fritz Donner. Possible resons for the apparently poor outcome are noted. In conclusion, no final evaluation can be made.
