Music therapy theory and practice as reflected in research literature

Abstract: Two case studies demonstrate the healing response to guided imagery and music of 2 women with uterine fibroid tumors. In one case, the healing was primarily physiological; in the other, it was primarily psychological. The relationship between imagery and other factors in psychotherapy is discussed.
