Can communication in music therapy be "measured" and made comprehensible?

Abstract: The article discusses problems of analysis, coding and meta-analysis of music therapy communication with psychosomatic patients. It is suggested that in view of characteristic features of psychosomatic illness (such as lack of introspection, restricted awareness and expression of emotions) the description and analysis of communication in music therapy can be based partly at least on kybernetic models presenting biological regulation processes. The work of two students on observation and analysis of interaction in music therapy, is discussed.
