Abstract: An explanation by Dr. R. le Coultre child-neurologist at the Groningen Academic Hospital. After a number of introductory questions, reception, processing, and production of (and hence the effect of music therapy on) our nervous system (either intact or not), the function of music, the relation language / music, and the localisation of music in the brain are treated. He clarifies several research methods and summarises the results.
