Abstract: The paper describes a group music therapy session, and the video highlights important developments, such as a real attempt by a non-verbal girl to sing 'hello', and the calmness of a hyper-active boy as he plays the chime bars in a Nordoff-Robbins song. The paper emphasises how music therapy has, over several years, helped the class to be more attentive, participating and relaxed, and has fostered the feeling of belonging to a musically/socially interactive group.
