Abstract: Adolescents in need of psychotherapy have, due to their defiant behavior, little motivation to take part in group-centered psychotherapy although they are experiencing an identity crisis. The author describes how to appeal to adolescents through the use of popular music, arrangement of the group sessions to give the impression of a party, and the combination of patient-centered treatment with communicative movement therapy. This should then be followed by training in social behavior commensurate with each S's social situation and the deficits in the behavioral inventories of other group members.
