Abstract: The Stiftung Rehabilitation in Heidelberg, which has established the Federal Republic's first all-embracing course in Music therapy, has always had more applications for this course than there are places available. This has of necessity led to a special examination to aid selection procedure. An analysis of the examination results shows that they provide significant information when decisions are made on application for the course. The selection procedure is still being continually assessed and evaluated but the results already available permit initial discussion as to its objectivity, reliability and validity.
