Abstract: A reflection on the author's participation in the "pilot education" in Herdecke, Germany. Here the author was trained simultaneously in variety of methods of music therapy based on diverging views of man. Together with eleven fellow students the author was to try to apprehend the different ideologies of music therapy and, if at all possible, create possibilities of integration as a foundation for further educations of music therapy.
