Application of Kodaly concepts in music therapy

Abstract: Notes that the concepts that make Z. Kodaly's method particularly effective in music education are concepts that are also used in music therapy. Kodaly's main concern was that every child should be able to enjoy and participate in music. The use of Kodaly's visual aids in the treatment of handicapped children is discussed, as well as the relationship of music to social interactions.
