Abstract: 1. Fresh cold trauma in the vessels of the rabbit's ear mostly causes (after thawing) a hyperemia of the ear concerned (see also Grant). However, the vessels of the ears of a rabbit depilated with barium sulfide act in response to cold trauma by a sensitization of the vessel in the sense of vasospasm (Meiners, Schneider, Tittel). The vasomotion of the other ear is disturbed.2. A vascular cicatrix, f. i., after an old cold trauma, causes up-stream a dysregulation of the vasomotoricity also an the opposite side, mostly towards the minus-side, as to vascular diameter and vascular reagibility 5,6,7. Down-stream the vessel ceases to respond to centro-nervous vaso-constrictively acting pain irritations.3. An anesthesia up-stream of the vascular injury may balance the vascular dysregulation after fresh and old cold trauma an both sides 17.4. Anesthesiae which do not hit the "right spot" of the injury are of no essential importance for the balance of a circulation trouble caused by a local vascular injury.
